Materials Used

Paint Shop Pro 9: Demo Here
Variations Filter: Here
Mura Meister Copies: Here
VM Distortion Kaleidoscope: Here
Virtual Painter-Pastel
Extra Materials: Here

Note: Virtual Painter is already a filter in PSP 8 and 9. Elements Used are İAngel Wolf and not to be confused with those of Brooke Kroeger. Doll Used is by unknown artist. All other creation is purely my idea and not that of any one else.

Download Everything that you need, put your filters in your chosen plugin folder and open the zip file containing the doll, star, accent element, needed fills, and template, in your psp and minimize them all for now. You will be using them as we go along in this tutorial. If you are using my supplied materials then use the colors that I have used for the tut, If you are not using my materials I have supplied choose colors complimenting your chosen images etc.

1. Open a new image 500x500 and flood fill with color#C1E9C9. Effects-Texture Effects-Blinds using the following settings and reapply them again but put a check mark in the Horizontal box.

2. Open The beige multi template and expand your canvas to 500x500. Image, resize 60% making sure that resize all layers is UNchecked. Go To Effects-MuraMeister-Copies and apply the below settings:

3. Image, resize 70% making sure that resize all layers is UNchecked. Copy the image then go back to your original working image and paste as a new layer (this will still be beige but we will fix that)

4. Go To Effects-Variations-Adjust and colorize the template image a little darker than that of your background, I got my color by going: More Green 2x, More Cyan 2x, and More Blue 1x. This gives a darker green than what I have on my background. If your using another image adjust to your liking.

**Note: This next step I re applied when I had completed my frame as I did not like the size she was when it was all done. she was too small for me. so you can skip this step till later if you wish.

5. Open the BlondeInGreen Doll Tube, Copy and back on working image paste as a new layer. Duplicate the doll and x out the copied layer. Hilite the original doll layer and apply the Virtual Painter-Pastel filter using the following settings:

6. On the layer palette lower the opacity of this layer to 50. Un X the copied layer of the doll and using your mover tool move her down and to the right a bit so that it looks similar to the below image:

7. Effects-3D- Drop Shadow with these settings:
Vertical= 7, Horizontal= 7, Opacity= 60, Blur= 8.50 Color= #548C43.

8. On your layer palette, hilite your bottom/background layer. Open your dbaw_dblstar tube and copy it, back on your working image paste this as a new layer (it should be under the template circle, not on top of it, although that is your choice *smile*.

9. Effects 3D- Drop Shadow using the Following Settings: Vertical= 3, Horizontal= 3, Opacity= 60, Blur= 6.50 Color= #548C43.

10. Layers- Merge- Merge all flatten and resize this entire image by 80%. Adjust Sharpness-Sharpen.

11. Image add border and add a border of 2 px symmetric- black or any color that wont run into your image. Select the border with your magic wand and on your color palette change to pattern and choose the dbaw_lightgoldfill, and flood fill the border with this pattern. Keep Selected.

12. Selections-Invert, Effects-3D- Cutout with these settings: repeat cut out changing horizontal and vertical to -2.

13. Image add border of 15 symmetric, Color Medium-Dark mine was #4F883D. Select border with magic wand. Adjust-Add/Remove Noise-Add Noise with below settings: and Select none.

14. Image add border 2 px symmetric, color black. Select border with magic wand and flood fill with dbaw_lightgoldfill. Select None.

** At this point we should only have One (1) layer- background. Right click on this layer and promote background to layer.

15. Image-Canvas Size- and change the canvas size giving a border of 50 px on each side. See Mine for an example of how to do this: Make sure that after you have expanded the canvas your working image is in the Center and not to the left, right, top or bottom. Adjust accordingly.

16. Open the dbaw_accent108grnlt tube and copy it, back on working image paste as a new layer and with your mover tool move it up like in my below image.

17. Duplicate this layer then go to Image-Flip. Go back to the accent and rotate 90 degrees left, copy this again and paste to your working image moving it to the left side of your frame like you did for the top accent, dupe this layer and go to image mirror. (No need for a drop shadow as the accent already has one).

18. Layers- Merge- Merge Visible. Add a new layer and drag this new layer below the "merged" Layer, flood fill with your light color in my case it would be #C1E9C9. Apply the same blinds effects that you did in Step 1.

19. Hilight the top/merged layer and with your magic wand select the border area. Add a new layer then go to selections-Modify-Contract-18. Flood fill with dbaw_lightgoldfill pattern, Selections-Modify-Contract by 2 then press your delete key. Keep selected.

20. Open dbaw_grndiamondfill or the dbaw_whitediamond fill (to colorize if using a differnt tube), Over on your color palette change to the diamondfill pattern keeping the angle at 0 but changing the scale to 50, see below image for settings:

21. Flood fill the still selected area with this pattern. Adjust-Sharpness-Sharpen. Select none.

22. Effects-3D-Drop Shadow With These settings: Vertical= 2, Horizontal= 2, Opacity= 75 Blur= 5.00 Color= #548C43, repeat the drop shadow changing vertical and horizontal to -2. Layers-Merge-Merge all flatten.

23.Image Add border 2 px color black. Select with your magic wand and flood fill with the dbaw_lightgoldfill. Selections Invert-Effects-3D-Cutout= Vertical= 4, Horizontal=4, Opacity= 75, Blur= 10.00, Color= #4E7343, repeat cutout changing vertical and horizontal to -4. Select None.

Added Kaleidoscope Border- The Following Steps are Optional!

24. Add border of 20 px color black. Select with magic wand and fill with color #C1E9E9. Effects VM Distortion with the below Settings: Pay no attention to the middle part as that will not change

24. Images add border of 2px black select with Magic wand and fill with gold fill. Effects 3D- Drop Shadow= Vertical= 2, Horizontal= 2, Opacity= 30, Blur= 3.00 Color= #548c43.

Select None and You are All Done!

NOTE: As stated earlier in the tut-if you chose to complete it exactly as how I wrote it you will find that the doll (image you used) is fairly small in the middle, so what I did was opened my doll back up, resized her by 85% and Redid step 5, 6, and 7.

Because the doll is larger than that of the doll in the finished image is larger you can put it over the top without any notice that you had done it before. Yup I goofed but after writing this I didn't want to have to do it all over again LOL.

I do hope that you enjoyed this tut and that it was fairly easy to follow. If you have any trouble please let me know and I will help in any way I can.
