This tutorial is for those that have a working
knowledge of PSP and was created using PSP version 9 however it may
be created in other versions as well. Not intended for beginners!

Materials Used
Scrap Kit by
JT Designs called "Candy
Cane Lane" Which is a paid kit and
can be purchased from
Exdquisite
Scraps.

Lets Begin
** Do Not Add any drop
shadows until you have completely finished your tag**
1. Open a new image 700x700
with a transparent background. Add a new layer and flood fill with a
medium to dark color (this is to help aid you visually as some of
the elements are silver and difficult to see).
2. Open JTD_CCL_Doodle2,
resize 90% sharpen. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your tag
image. Duplicate-Image-Rotate free 45% to the left.
Layers-merge-merge down.
3. Open JTD_CCL_Element65,
resize 15% and resize again 80%. Copy and paste as a new layer onto
your tag image. Plugins-Mura Meister Copies with the below settings:
Drag this layer to below your
silver frame layer (raster 2). resize 95% (this layer only).
4. High light your top layer
(raster 2). Using your magic wand click in the center of the
silver frame to select it. Selections-modify-expand 5 pixels. High
light your feather frame layer (raster 3). Press the delete key.
Selections-modify-expand 5 pixels, keep selected.
5. High light the bottom
layer (raster 10> Open paper of choice and resize 80%. Copy and
paste as a new layer onto your tag image. Making sure you are on
your paper layer, selections-invert and press the delete key and
deselect.
6. High light the top layer.
Open JTD_CCL_Doodle and resize 65%, sharpen. Plugins Mura Meisters
Copies with the following settings:
Resize 115%-Sharpen and then
drag this layer down below your paper layer (raster 4).
7. High light your paper
layer (raster 4). Open JTD_CCL_Element32, resize 40%-sharpen. Copy
and paste as a new layer onto your tag image and arrange the longest
portion of the string in the center of the silver frame. Using
your selection tool select all of the strings on the right side and
then press your delete key, deselect. Duplicate this layer,
Image-mirror-layers merge-merge down. You will now want to select
any portion of the bead string that is outside of the frame and
delete.
8. High light the top layer,
Open JTD_CCL_Element47. DO NOT RESIZE. Copy and paste as a new layer
onto your tag image. Adjust-sharpen.
9. Open JTD_CCL_Element73 (or
banner of choice). DO NOT RESIZE. Copy and paste as a new layer and
arrange to your liking.
10. Open JTD_CCL_Element1,
resize 23%, Copy and paste as a new layer onto your tag and arrange
on the left of the banner. Duplicate, image, mirror.
11. Open JTD_CCL_Element63.
Image, mirror, Copy and paste as a new layer onto your tag and place
on the right center of your frames layers.
12. Open JTD_CCL_Element57,
resize 80%, sharpen, copy and paste as a new layer onto your
tag image. Image-rotate-free, all layers unchecked, rotate to the
left 15% and arrange in the upper left of your frames.
13. Open JTD_CCL_Element45.
Duplicate (Shift+D). Close the original. Take your eraser tool and
erase the top chain so that you only have the snowflake, resize
25%-sharpen more. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your tag image
and place in the center of your bow.
14. Duplicate the snowflake,
resize 60%, sharpen more, and place it in the center of the bow on
one of the lamps. Duplicate, image mirror.
15. Now you will want to add
your favorite drop shadow to all of your layers except your paper
layer. Image, resize 90%, all layers checked.
16. Open tube of choice and
resize accordingly. If your desire is to have your tube appear
as if she/he is protruding out of the frame then proceed as follows:
Once you are happy with the size of your tube, copy and paste as a
new layer onto your tag, drag this down to below the feather ring
layer (raster 3). Duplicate your tube and drag it up to the very
top. select all lower parts of your tube on this layer and press
delete. Now high light the original tube layer and using your free
hand tool draw around the lower portion of your frames and select
all of the lower portion of your tube. Press the delete key. Apply
your favorite drop shadow. THIS LAYER ONLY!
17. Hide your very bottom
layer, and activate any one of your other layers. Layers-merge-merge
visible. Duplicate this layer. Making sure you are on the original
tag layer. Adjust-Blur-gaussian blur- Radius=10.
18. Effects-Texture
Effects-Mosaic Antique with the below settings:
19. Add your copyright
information and your name as desired and export as your favorite
image format.
Here is another sample using
a different tube by Ismael Rack where I just kept her on the top
layer.
